Discover the Beauty of a StruXure Cabana X
A StruXure Cabana X turns a patio, poolside, or commercial courtyard into a true outdoor room, and it does it on your terms. Built around an adjustable louvered roof and a freestanding aluminum frame, StruXure cabanas give Utah homeowners and property owners shade when the sun is high, open sky when the weather is perfect, and full protection when it turns. As the exclusive StruXure Partner Company for Utah, we design and install every cabana in-house, from our Woods Cross showroom to homes and businesses across Salt Lake City, Park City, and the surrounding counties. Your patio, your rules.
What Makes a StruXure Cabana Different?
The defining feature of our cabana is the louvered roof. Where a standard cabana gives you one fixed canopy and one level of shade, a StruXure Cabana X lets you rotate the louvers to set exactly how much sun, shade, or shelter you want at any moment, then close them completely when the weather moves in.
Because it’s freestanding, our cabana doesn't need to be attached to a home. You can place it wherever it makes sense for your space, whether that’s over a pool, off a detached patio, or at the center of a commercial seating area. The frame is engineered to sit level even on uneven ground, so the finished structure reads clean and intentional from every angle.
Our cabana line is the StruXure Cabana X, and it comes in two models so you can match the level of control to how you'll use the space:
Core:
A modular, remote-operated cabana that rotates and aligns the louvers for adaptable sun and shade, offered at an accessible entry point.
Tech:
Adds app-based smart control of the louvered roof and integrated LED lighting, with preset environmental settings and responsive adjustments you can run from a phone or tablet.

Structures Engineered for Utah's Climate
Utah asks a lot of an outdoor structure. Intense summer sun, high-elevation UV, heavy mountain snow, wind, and the occasional hailstorm all hit the same patio across a single year. StruXure cabanas are built from aircraft-grade aluminum with custom extrusions and a premium powder-coated finish that withstands that range without rusting, rotting, staining, or fading.
Each structure is engineered to meet local snow, wind, and seismic load requirements, and the aluminum stands up to most hail. An integrated water management system runs concealed gutters through the frame to channel rain and snowmelt away cleanly, keeping the space underneath dry and usable. This is what year-round outdoor living looks like in Utah: a structure that performs in January as confidently as it does in July.
A Cabana Tailored to Your Space
No two StruXure cabanas are the same. Yours can be configured around your space, your style, and how you plan to use it:
Finish:
Choose a full-textured white frame, a full-textured black frame, or mix a white frame with black louvers (or the reverse) for contrast.
Layout:
The modular design lets us configure single or multi-bay layouts to fit a compact patio or span a larger commercial footprint.
Panels and Curtains:
Interchangeable side panels and performance-fabric curtains add privacy, block low-angle sun, and shape airflow, and they can be swapped later as your needs change.
Concealed Hardware:
The Smart Frame TraX system hides screens, wiring, and lighting within the structure, so the finished cabana stays sleek rather than cluttered with visible hardware.
Configuration and Add-On Options
Every cabana starts with the structure, but seasonal usability comes from the integrations you choose. During your design consultation, we’ll determine which add-ons fit your actual use case.
Our StruXure Cabana X supports these options, which can be included at installation or added later:
Retractable Screens: MagnaTrack motorized systems for wind and insect protection
Glass Wall Enclosures: Lumon glass walls that close off the space while preserving views
Heating Systems: Bromic heaters for reliable warmth in cold months
Motorized Louver Control: Somfy-powered automation with remote and app operation
Manual Crank Operation: A straightforward manual alternative
Ceiling Fans: Minka Air and Big Ass Fans for airflow during warm months
Integrated Audio: Sonance speakers with Sonos integration built into the structure
Smart Controls and Lighting: Coordinated automation and ambient lighting

Cabana Structures for Residential and Commercial Properties
The StruXure Cabana X works across residential and commercial applications with configurations tailored to each use.
Residential
If you're a homeowner, the primary benefit is transforming an underused patio into a genuine extension of the home. A covered outdoor living space changes how you host, how your family uses the backyard, and how the property reads from a design perspective. The cabana's aluminum construction and clean powder-coated finish fit contemporary residential aesthetics, and smart integration options let you control the environment without leaving the space.
Commercial
For commercial properties, the value centers on guest experience and outdoor capacity. Restaurants extending dining into covered patios, hotels building premium poolside amenities, and multifamily developments adding gathering spaces all benefit from structures that perform year-round. A commercial cabana meets the same engineering and material standards as residential installations, with bay configurations that scale to larger footprints. The result is an outdoor amenity that functions regardless of the weather.
Warranty Coverage for StruXure Cabana X Systems
The StruXure Cabana X carries tiered coverage:
15-year warranty on structural components
10-year warranty on manual components
5-year warranty on motorized components
Lifetime warranty on the full system
This depth of coverage reflects the engineering behind the product and distinguishes a purpose-built aluminum system from lower-cost alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cabanas in Utah
The StruXure Cabana X is a freestanding, motorized, louvered-roof structure built from aircraft-grade aluminum. A traditional pergola provides fixed partial shade with no weather protection. Our cabana's louvers rotate from fully open to fully closed, integrated drainage prevents pooling during rain, and the modular system supports retractable screens, glass walls, and smart automation that basic pergolas cannot.
Yes. StruXure Cabanas are engineered to meet or exceed wind load requirements for North American regions, confirmed through ICC certification and independent structural validation. The aircraft-grade aluminum frame handles seasonal stress that would compromise lighter structures.
